Le Nozze di Carlo
Playing Music of the Atlantic Basin
Le Nozze di CArlo Means CArlo's Wedding in Italian
We started this group to play at the wedding of an Italian friend, Carlo Adinolfi, where we played mostly Italian music. We enjoyed playing together so much that we eventually recorded a CD and started gigging around New York City. We have played hundreds of events from bars and restaurants to art openings and baccala festivals. Along the way we have added songs in French and Spanish along with English. Our music encompasses Italian, Irish and French folkloric and pop material as well as reggae and Latin music from the Caribbean. All of us sing and play instruments. The instrumentation is accordion/trumpet, acoustic bass, guitar and saxophone. We present a lively and engaging concert experience as well as a fun party atmosphere.
This is from a live broadcast on WPKN in Bridgeport, CT. The band is me on guitar and vocals, Joel Darelius on bass, Paule Diamond on saxophone and Bob Goldberg on accordion.
